The righteousness of God.

Something that has been hitting me hard this year of 2020. I know that this is the one thing that God has been giving me revelation on and something I have been studying and listening to.

let me tell you a little bit about righteousness. You see, in my christian walk I have always herd about the righteousness of God but never knew what righteousness meant. As I began to look into this I was totally mind blown! Righteousness is Christ himself. when you think of God think of Righteousness. Think of beauty, perfection, boldness, faith, confidence, willing and daring and most importantly, dangerous!

LOL you might think “dangerous” dangerous to who? Your enemy of course! You see when you are clothed in the righteousness of God your devil days in your life will be over! You will know that you are the righteousness of God. you will know who you are in Christ! No more guilt, no more shame, because you know. You know what Jesus himself is in you so your confidence and faith and joy will sky rocket!!

Back in the day the roman soldiers would wear they’re weaponry for the days of battle and the heaviest piece was the breastplate of righteousness. It was exactly 125 pounds! It would start at the top of his neck and go all the way down to his knees. When you were to walk up to a roman solider the first thing you would notice was his breastplate. The breastplate was made of bronze and brass. It was gorgeous and the most glamorous weaponry the solider would wear. You could definitely tell if a roman soldier would wear his breastplate consistently. The more you wear your breastplate the shiner it would get! The bronze and brass would rub together when you walk making it shine like glitter! (WOW) Just imagine that for a second.

Now you might think “But how? How do I get this righteousness? how do I acquire this? Heres how…. You receive it by faith! You might not feel righteous and if your like me, You might have to fake it before you make it. (haha!) Everyday pray and ask God to give you a revelation of how to walk in the righteousness of God. Lord, show me how to clothe myself in your righteousness. Lord , I surrender all my hurt, all my pain, all my insecurities, all of my fears, my doubts, my past. All that hinders me, I lay it at your feet today and now I’m putting your garment, your righteousness on me now! I know this is why you went to the cross for me. So I can have you, your power, your strength, your fearlessness and boldness and righteousness living and dwelling in me! After you put on the word of God, you may not feel righteous at first, but just keep walking in the word and a deep sense of righteousness will begin to spring up in your life.

Now I would like to share with you the benefits you get when you begin to walk in the righteousness of God (EEEEEKKKKKK GET EXCITED!!!!!!

When you began to walk in righteousness, darkness begins to flee! evil forces always flee from righteousness because they can not endure the brilliant light that comes from righteousness. When I hear the lies from the devil or temptations from the enemy, I say “Oh shut up you defeated foe!! I am righteous and if you stick around here I will wrap you up the in the righteousness of Christ!!!

When you know who you are in Christ and wear your righteousness daily everyone around you gets affected by it. Its pretty amazing! You keep getting shiner and shiner, brighter and brighter oh and let me tell you something, The lord LOVES when you get this!!! He loves it and he has a Special treatment for the righteous. When you are wrapped in the righteousness of God fear or oppression can not come near you!! (oppression is mental torment) righteousness takes back lost territory. When you wear your breastplate it dosen’t matter how many arrows the enemy shoots against you because not one arrow will penetrate! You will see that when you start walking in your righteousness your level of confidence rises dramatically because a attitude of righteousness imparts both confidence and tremendous authority! you will be placed on the winning side of victory. PSALMS 37:17 nkjv FOR THE ARMS OF THE WICKED SHALL BE BROKEN, BUT THE LORD UPHOLDS THE RIGHTEOUS!

PROVERBS 10:6 nkjv BLESSINGS ARE ON THE HEAD OF THE RIGHTEOUS, BUT VIOLENCE COVERS THE MOUTH OF THE WICKED.

PROVERBS 10:30 nkjv THE RIGHTEOUS WILL NEVER BE REMOVED, BUT THE WICKED WILL NOT INHABIT THE EARTH.

PROVERBS 4:18 ampc BUT THE PATH OF THE JUST AND RIGHTEOUS IS LIKE THE LIGHT OF DAWN, THAT SHINES MORE AND MORE BRIGHTER AND CLEARER UNTIL IT REACHES ITS FULL STRENGTH AND GLORY IN THE PERFECT DAY TO BE PREPARED

ROMANS 4:3 niv ABRAHAM BELIVED GOD AND IT WAS CREDITED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS ( this one I love because this shows just by us trusting and believing God we get a credit of righteousness! WOW! just like credit. the more we build it up the high credit score we get! just think of someone with some top notch credit. He can get whatever he wants! All he has to do is sign his name! This gets my excited excited!

Remember to throw away all of the fear, doubt , shame, guilt and insecurities on the altar today and cast them unto our loving and heavenly father who loves you oh so much and will take it all from you and start walking in the righteousness of God and remember to practice everyday so it can start to be automatic.
